Travelling with a companion or caregiver

Most patients travel with one family member. Plan for that person as carefully as for the patient: their own passport and visa application, a place to stay near the hospital, and a clear idea of what they are allowed to do on the patient's behalf. Inside CareBridge, a patient can grant caregiver access to their case, and revoke it later; without that consent, a family member cannot see the documents. Tell the coordinator early about anything that affects the stay — dietary needs, mobility or wheelchair access, or a companion who needs interpreter help too — because accommodation and appointment planning depend on it.
