Understanding this cancer

Interventional oncology covers procedures performed through a needle or catheter under imaging guidance — biopsy, ablation, and delivery of treatment directly to a tumour or its blood supply. These procedures are chosen for particular tumour sizes and locations, often when surgery is not the preferred route, and they can be combined with other treatment. As with every approach on this site, this is general information: the treating interventional specialist decides suitability after reviewing your imaging.
